Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Redditch United have brought Charlie Williams back on a month’s loan from League One side Burton Albion.
The attacking midfielder joined the Burton academy at the age of 15, after spending seven years with Aston Villa’s academy.
He was awarded a scholarship by the Brewers ahead of the 2020/21 season but impressed enough to be offered a two-year professional contract in September 2021.
Although yet to make a Football League appearance for Albion, he made his senior debut for them in a ELF Trophy game against MK Dons in August 2021 before spending time out on loan last season with Leamington and Redditch.
He first joined Redditch on 23rd November and was with the club during its worst run of the season. However, as the New Year came around and two loan extensions later, he experienced some of the nine-game unbeaten run.
Burton eventually recalled him in mid-February.
He spent a month on loan with reigning Premier Division Central champions Banbury United in the Vanarama National League North in August and early September.
