With the World Cup done and dusted, every Premier League club is now deep into pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign kicking off on August 21. Some sides are jetting around the globe on lucrative summer tours, while others are keeping things closer to home. Here’s a full round-up of fixtures and results so far, club by club.

Arsenal

Arsenal’s preseason builds toward the traditional curtain-raiser, the FA Community Shield, where they’ll face FA Cup winners Manchester City at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on August 16. Before that, the Gunners face Girona away, Real Betis in Dublin, Borussia Dortmund, and Como at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City

True to the pattern set under Pep Guardiola, Manchester City have kept their preseason relatively light under new manager Enzo Maresca. Liverpool

Andoni Iraola gets his first taste of the Anfield home dugout during preseason, with Liverpool set to face Como twice on August 16, one match played behind closed doors and the other in front of supporters. It’s a notable first chapter for Iraola before Liverpool’s Premier League opener away at Newcastle United.

Chelsea

Chelsea’s preseason has already delivered one of the standout stories of the summer. Xabi Alonso’s first match in charge, played as part of a tour of Australia, ended in a chaotic 6-4 win over Western Sydney Wanderers, with a young Chelsea side struggling early before Alonso’s changes turned the game, and Joao Pedro stealing the headlines with a hat-trick and an assist. Newcastle United

Newcastle have played three matches so far: a 3-0 win over Darlington on July 18, a 1-1 draw away at Gateshead on July 25, and a 1-4 defeat to Bristol City on July 29. Upcoming fixtures include a trip to Valencia, a match against Everton in Edinburgh, and home games against Bayer Leverkusen and Strasbourg before the new season begins.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs began preseason with a 1-1 draw against Sydney FC as part of their own Australian tour, before facing Chelsea twice in Sydney across two fixtures on August 1. It’s been a summer of major spending for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, and these early matches offer the first look at how his new-look squad is starting to gel.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa have had an eventful preseason schedule, including a 2-4 defeat to Real Sociedad at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium on July 28. Bournemouth

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace played out a goalless draw with Famalicao during their preseason preparations, part of a schedule designed to build fitness and cohesion ahead of another European campaign.

Ipswich Town

Newly-promoted Ipswich Town suffered an early 1-2 defeat to Osasuna, before further matches against Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers as they build toward a return to Premier League football.

Nottingham Forest

Forest started with a 2-0 win over Notts County on July 18, and have continued their preseason schedule with matches against Portimonense and Sporting, played in Faro, as Oliver Glasner settles into life as head coach.

Leeds United, Sunderland, Hull City, and Coventry City

The rest of the promoted and established mid-table sides are also deep into their own preseason schedules. Leeds face Sunderland in New Jersey on July 30, while Hull City travel to Istanbul to face Kasimpasa. All three newly-promoted clubs, Coventry, Hull, and Ipswich, are using this stretch to close the gap on Premier League-level intensity before their return to the top flight.
