FA Sunday Cup Second Round 2026-27:

Full Draw, Dates and What Clubs Need to Know

The second round draw of the FA Sunday Cup has been made, and 32 ties are now set for Sunday 8 November. Here is every pairing, the dates and deadlines that matter, and the rules clubs should check before kick-off.

The Key Facts at a Glance

  • Match day: Sunday 8 November 2026, 2.00 pm kick-off unless both clubs agree otherwise
  • Ties: 32
  • Match grants: £250 for the home club and £200 for the away club (up from £200 and £150 in the first round)
  • Player registration deadline: 12 noon on Saturday 7 November 2026, whatever time the match is played
  • Drawn matches: decided by penalty kicks after 90 minutes
  • Eligibility: players under a written contract cannot play in the competition

The first round was played on Sunday 4 October with 50 ties, while 14 clubs had byes straight into this round. That is how the field reaches 64 clubs and 32 second round matches. Eight first round ties were decided by walkover after opponents withdrew, including Hatch Lane, whose exit gave Trabzonspor UK a place in this round.

Ties Worth Circling

Baddoo v Baiteze Squad. Baddoo beat AC Milano 2-0, and Baiteze Squad won 5-2 against FC Broxbourne in the first round, so both arrive in form. Regular readers will recognise them from our earlier coverage. We followed Baiteze’s run in this competition and previewed a Baddoo cup tie in a previous campaign, so this meeting has some history behind it.

Stanhope & Beaver Rangers v East London Ballers and Greenwich Park Rangers v The Gun. East London Ballers needed penalties to get here, winning 3-2 on spot kicks after a 2-2 draw with Highgate Albion, while Greenwich Park Rangers edged Jam 1-0. Stanhope & Beaver Rangers and The Gun both had byes. Both ties feature London sides, in a draw that spreads across the country, from Hartlepool Supporters and Sunderland Southwick in the north east to East Christchurch Athletic on the south coast.

What Clubs Should Check Before 8 November

Home clubs had to return their Match Arrangement Form to the FA’s competitions department by Friday 9 October, so that step should already be done. For everyone, the remaining jobs are practical:

  1. Registration. Every player must be registered by noon on Saturday 7 November. A late registration cannot be fixed on the morning of the match.
  2. Contracts. Anyone on a written contract is ineligible, so check the squad list rather than assuming.
  3. Kick-off and pitch. The default is 2.00 pm. If both clubs want a different time, agree it in writing early and confirm the pitch is playable, especially if autumn weather has been wet.
  4. Penalties. If your tie is level after 90 minutes, it goes straight to penalty kicks under the International FA Board procedure, so it is worth deciding your takers in advance.
