Across his Fantasy career, Haaland has historically averaged nine goals over the opening six gameweeks of a season, a red-hot start that’s made him a near-automatic pick year after year. His fixtures again look kind early on, with Manchester City set for a favorable run of home matches to open the campaign, starting with Bournemouth at home in Gameweek 1.
The one thing that’s different this time: Haaland played through the FIFA World Cup with Norway over the summer, scoring seven goals for his country, which means less of an off-season rest than in previous years. It’s not necessarily a red flag, but it’s a variable worth keeping an eye on as preseason continues and his fitness becomes clearer.
