Goalkeeper Liam Armstrong made a memorable debut for Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday!

The 22-year-old joined the Rouslers on a month’s loan from Vanarama National League North side Gloucester City on Friday – Thomas Baillie’s last signing as the club’s manager – and made his debut in the home game against Leiston.

Unfortunately, Armstrong conceded SEVEN goals as Sporting were hammered 7-1 by the Suffolk side at the Victoria Ground.

Armstrong signed for Gloucester in July 2021.

A Bristol Rovers academy product, he signed his first professional contract in 2018 and has previous loan experience with Tiverton Town and Salisbury in the Southern Premier Division South.

He made more than 50 appearances for Tiverton in 2018/19 and was awarded the young player of the year accolade.

He then moved on to Salisbury but suffered an injury that ruled him out for the second half of the 2019/20 campaign.

He then agreed to another year’s contract at the Memorial Stadium in the summer of 2020.
