The England Football Grassroots Football Awards, presented by Howdens, held its 2026 presentation ceremony on Sunday 16 August, bringing together volunteers, coaches, referees, and club officials from across adult grassroots football for a night of recognition.

What We Know So Far

Nominations for this year’s awards closed months ago. Since then, county FAs across the country reviewed thousands of entries and selected local winners. Those local winners went forward to a national shortlist, judged by a national FA panel.

The ceremony itself has now taken place, continuing a tradition of recognising the volunteers who keep the grassroots game running. In previous years, winners have been announced alongside legends of the game at a live event, with categories spanning the full range of grassroots football — from Club of the Year and League of the Year, through to the Bobby Moore Award, the night’s most prestigious honour.
