Fantasy Premier League has confirmed prices for three new signings entered into the game, giving managers their first proper look at how much summer arrivals at Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Hull City will cost. Here’s the breakdown of all three, and whether any of them are worth an early spot in your squad.
Christos Tzolis (Arsenal) — £6.5m
Tzolis joins Arsenal off the back of a brilliant season at Club Brugge, where he scored 17 goals and added 23 assists to help fire the Belgian side to their league title. On raw output alone, that’s an eye-catching record for a winger, but his £6.5m price tag tells a different story about how Fantasy expects him to be used.
Mikel Arteta rotated his attacking players heavily during Arsenal’s title-winning 2025/26 campaign. While Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi were nailed-on starters, Bukayo Saka was the only other attacking midfielder to start more than 21 league matches, in an injury-affected season for the winger. Players like Eberechi Eze, Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, and Gabriel Martinelli all averaged under 60 minutes per appearance, and all of them share Tzolis’s £6.5m price point as a result.
That rotation risk makes Tzolis a genuinely tempting differential on all-round attacking ability, but also a risky one until his role in the side becomes clearer. At the same price, more secure starters elsewhere in the league, such as Brentford’s Dango Ouattara, Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr, and Everton’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, currently look like safer picks.
Xaver Schlager (Nottingham Forest) — £5.0m
Forest’s signing from RB Leipzig arrives to compete for the defensive midfield role left open by Elliot Anderson’s move to Manchester City, going up against fellow £5.0m option Ibrahim Sangare for the spot.
Anderson’s huge defensive contribution numbers last season, headlined by an average of 8.3 recoveries per 90 minutes, set an extremely high bar. Combined, Sangare and Schlager managed just 12 recoveries per 90 between them last season, well short of what Anderson delivered alone, so managers shouldn’t expect either to immediately replicate that level of production.
Schlager has previously played under Forest’s new head coach Olivier Glasner, which could work in his favor once the starting picture becomes clearer during preseason friendlies. For now, though, Sangare’s underlying numbers make him the more promising value option of the two for defensive contribution points.
Matt Targett (Hull City) — £4.0m
Targett joins newly-promoted Hull on a free transfer following his departure from Newcastle United, and will compete with current first-choice left-back Ryan Giles, also priced at £4.0m, for a starting spot.
Targett’s best-ever Fantasy season came back in 2020/21, when he racked up 138 points for Aston Villa, but the introduction of defensive contribution points has since shifted value in defence heavily toward centre-backs. That makes Hull teammate Charlie Hughes, also £4.0m, arguably the more interesting pick of the two new Hull defenders. Hughes averaged 11.8 defensive contribution actions per 90 minutes in the Championship last season, more than any other promoted defender, a strong early signal for his defensive-points potential in the top flight.

None of these three feel like must-have picks on price alone, but each is worth tracking as preseason friendlies clarify starting roles. Tzolis carries the highest ceiling if he nails down minutes at Arsenal, while both Forest’s new midfield battle and Hull’s defensive pairing are worth revisiting once lineups start to take shape.
