In an effort to find their first win in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central, Hednesford Town manager Steve Burr has made two more new signings.
Vastly experienced defender Keith Lowe has made the switch from league rivals Rushall Olympic, having moved to Dales Lane in June.
The now 37-year-old had signed for Nuneaton Borough in July 2019 and then switched to Vanarama National League North side Bradford Park Avenue in September 2019 and back to Kidderminster Harriers in early January 2020.
A graduate of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy, he has played over 100 times at National League level and made almost 200 more appearances in the Football League.
He joined the sadly now defunct Macclesfield Town on the back of being named in the National League North team of the year whilst at Kidderminster.
After joining the Silkmen, he helped them to promotion to the Football League, winning the National League title on the way and playing every minute of every game.
And whilst on loan with Swansea City, the Wolverhampton native was part of the Swans EFL Trophy winning side, defeating Carlisle United 2-1 at the Millenium Stadium in front of 42,000 fans.
Also joining the Pitmen is Pakistan international midfielder Samir Nabi.
The 25-year-old had joined the Pitmen’s league rivals St Ives Town in August 2021 from National League North side Hereford.
He had signed for the Bulls in October 2020 from league rivals Kidderminster, where he had been since January 2020.
He spent more than a decade rising through the junior and academy ranks at the Championship outfit Wes Bromwich Albion.
After leaving the Hawthorns in 2016, he spent time playing abroad, before coming back to England to feature for Carlisle United, Torquay United and spent from February 2019 until the end of the campaign on loan with Halesowen Town.
He has two caps for Pakistan, his first coming in June 2019 in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
