Who should your club sign this summer?

With the season nearing a close across Europe, the attention of fans will begin to turn to next season and how the team they support can improve! The transfer window is always exciting, but which players should your club be looking at signing this summer transfer window?

In this list, 5 players have been identified from across Europe that can definitely make any side better, but may have flown under the radar for whatever reason, and could soon be playing for your team!

#1 – Ivan Toney

You may think “I have seen loads of Ivan Toney transfer rumours, this hasn’t flown under the radar” but Ivan Toney is already good enough to make the jump to a European team, such as Arsenal, this season. He could even replace the outgoing Sergio Aguero at Manchester City, he’s that good. Many news outlets are linking him to West Ham, but an even bigger side could come calling for the Northampton-born striker.

He is the top scorer in the Championship this season, and also has the best shot conversion rate of all the strikers in the league, so a season in the Premier League is on the cards for sure. Whether that is with Brentford through the Play-offs or a summer transfer into the top flight, he surely is not a bad bet for any side in need of a goalscorer next season.

#2 – Rodrigo De Paul

Consistently great in Italy, Udinese’s star man is definitely ready for a summer move to a big European club after this season. As a creative midfielder who puts up decent defensive numbers, the Argentinian would surely fit into most club sides, but many may come in for his services this transfer window. Previously linked to both Leeds and Liverpool, clubs across Europe will want him this summer!

Currently with 8 goals and 9 assists, the joint most in the league, many of the top Italian clubs are looking into securing his service for next season, as well as French Giants PSG and a whole host of Premier League teams.

#3 – Andre Silva

This seasons underrated Bundesliga striker, as there seems to be one every year, is Portuguese forward Andre Silva, who actually has as many goals this season as Erling Håland, but has got nowhere near as much press as the Norwegian. Whilst Håland has other aspects to his game, Andre Silva has long been talked about as a top talent, previously playing for AC Milan, Sevilla and Porto. Still only 25, perhaps a big move would finally suit the Eintracht Frankfurt striker.

#4 – Pau Torres

The only defender on this list, the spaniard has just reached his first European final with Villarreal. Despite being linked with a Manchester United transfer in recent weeks, the ball playing centre-back will not be short of suitors, with many top sides needing top quality defenders. If he performs in the final, maybe a move to England beckons.

With his value only to rise, as one of the only top Spanish defensive talents, he will surely be in high demand in a few years in his homeland, when either Gerard Pique or Sergio Ramos knocking on the door of retirement.

#5 – Luis Muriel

To round off the list is a Colombian super-sub, who plays for Atalanta in Serie A. This season, in just 1261 minutes, he has 19 goals! For any team that needs a striker who offers something different, or to cause problems for defenders late on in games, surely Luis Muriel is your man.

He leads the scoring charts for Atalanta, in less than half the minutes Cristiano Ronaldo has had this season, and only trails him by 8 goals all season. He hasn’t been linked to anyone too heavily yet, but he may prove a valuable option for many big sides across the continent.
