Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he is yet to start talks over a contract extension with the club.
Solskjaer, who has 18 months left on his 3-year contract, has constantly been faced with questions over his job. However, with Manchester United in title contention, thoughts may begin to turn to an extension.
What’s been said?
Speaking to VG, Solskjaer said: “I have not thought about that, and we have not discussed it at all.
“I am just focusing on doing my job and part of the job is to stabilise things.

“We have a job to do in order to find consistency on the pitch. Outside the pitch it is still a crisis if you lose a game.”
This admission came just days after Solskjaer commented that United wouldn’t ‘concede’ the title to rivals Manchester city.
He continued: “If you concede a goal in stoppage time against Everton, it still creates big headlines. That can happen in football.

“But on the inside it is more stable. We feel like we are on our way towards what we sat down and discussed, what we planned.
“I know that there has been a lot of criticism and discussion about one thing or another, but if you first set a course, then I at least have so much faith in myself that i do not waver too much.”

Solskjaer’s record for United, since he took over on an interim role from Jose Mourinho in 2018 is:
71 wins, 27 draws, 29 defeats from 127 games, leading to a 55.9% win rate.
Whether or not Solskjaer is in line for a new deal must be put to one side for the time being.
Currently, Manchester United currently trail City by 10 points, with 12 games still to play.
