Brazilian striker Felipe Barcelos has re-joined Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Highworth Town.

The 30-year-old left the Worthians in March to join then-Wessex League Premier side AFC Portchester.

The prolific marksman, who originates from the Brazilian town of Dourados and moved to the UK as a teenager, progressed through the ranks at Oxford City and had spells with Banbury United, Grantham Town and Cirencester Town and had a season at ASD Santhia in Italian Serie D but is perhaps best known for playing a key role in Didcot Town’s successful 2017/18 season when he scored 27 league and cup goals and was also named managers` and players` player of the year.

After beginning the 2017/18 season at Didcot, he had brief spells with Moneyfields and Stratford Town before returning to the Loop Meadow in February 2019.

He joined then-Southern Division One South club Thatcham Town in June 2019 and then switched to then-Isthmian South Central side Bracknell Town exactly a year later. However, in September 2020 he returned to the Southern Division One Central with Melksham Town and then moved onto Southern Division One Central side Wantage Town in late November 2020 and then Highworth for the first time in the summer of 2021.
