Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Berkhamsted have signed goalkeeper Dave Saunders on a month’s loan from Vanarama National League South neighbours Hemel Hempstead Town.
The 19-year-old joined the Tudors in January 2020.
He began his career at Luton Town in their academy, before then moving onto MK Dons, who he left at the age of 15 before scholarships were due to begin.
He originally joined Hemel to play in their youth side, which soon resulted in him signing a one-and-a-half-year contract in February 2020.
He now possesses over 70 appearances at Step 5 level through loan spells with Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Tring Athletic.
The month’s loan will give Saunders some invaluable match time whilst helping out the Comrades, whose regular keeper recently picked up an injury.
Meanwhile, leaving Broadwater to join ambitious SSML Premier Division side Leighton Town is the experienced Max Farrelly.
The 30-year-old joined his hometown side back in 2014 and made around 250 appearances.
Farrelly joined Berko from AFC Dunstable and has also played for Leverstock Green, Chesham United, Aylesbury FC and Hatfield Town.
