Making his debut for Hayes & Yeading United in their win over Gosport Borough on Tuesday night was midfielder Reece Cole.

The 24-year-old moved to the SKYex Community Stadium from Isthmian League South Central side Chertsey Town, for whom he made 7 appearances and scored 3 goals.

He joined the Curfews in the summer having spent last season north of the border playing for then-Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.

Cole, who was in the Hayes & Yeading youth setup before joining neighbours Brentford at the age of 14, made one senior appearance for the Bees in March 2017 and also had loan spells with Newport County, Yeovil Town, Maidenhead United, Macclesfield Town and Partick Thistle.

In March 2021, he signed a short-term deal with Queens Park Rangers to play for their under-23s before being released in the summer of 2021 when he signed for Dunfermline, making 10 appearances and scoring once as the Pars were relegated to Scottish League One.
