Steve Burr continues his re-building job as manager of Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town by bringing vastly experienced midfielder Chris Clements back to Keys Park.
The 32-year-old returns from league rivals Nuneaton Borough, where he had been since last September.
He was released by Cheltenham Town at the end of the 2020/21 season, having made 21 appearances in 2020/21, helping the Robins to win the League Two title.
He was originally with Crewe Alexandra as a youth from 2004 and signed professionally in 2007.
Whilst at Gresty Road, he had time on loan at a number of clubs, including Nantwich Town, Leigh Genesis, Stafford Rangers, Hednesford Town and Icelandic side IBV, before he joined Hednesford in 2010 on a more permanent basis.
He had two years with the Pitmen, playing over 100 games, and was young player of the year at the end of the 2011/12.
He then signed for Mansfield Town in June 2012, helping the Stags to the 2012/13 Conference title.
He played over 130 games as a Stag before moving to Grimsby Town in 2017.
Loan spells at Barrow AFC and Forest Green Rovers were followed in 2018 by the move to Cheltenham.
