Billy Gilmour Tests Positive For Covid-19

Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour has tested positive for Covid-19 and as a result, will have to isolate for the next ten days. This news breaks on the eve of Gilmour producing a Man of the Match performance against England last Friday.

It’s bad news for both Gilmour and Scotland. Not only will the midfielder miss tomorrow’s must-win game against Croatia, in which anything less than three points will likely see the team exit Euro 2020. He will also miss any potential Round of 16 tie Scotland could reach if they were to win tomorrow.

As of right now, no other players within both the England and Scotland squads are believed to have been affected by the virus. Both teams confirmed that they returned full negative Covid-19 results today.
