Bangura’s Back at Berkhamsted – The Southern League

Highly rated forward Alie Bangura has returned to Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club Berkhamsted.

The 23-year-old left Broadwater in March 2022 to join Southern Premier Division Central side Kings Langley.

He had originally been with Berko since June 2021 after arriving from Vanarama National League South outfit Hemel Hempstead Town, where he had been since July 2020 after moving up from Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Biggleswade United.

Originally with Broxbourne Borough, he had started the season at Enfield Borough before moving on to Tring Athletic and later Biggleswade United ahead of lockdown.

The pacey forward scored a combined 27 goals in 23 appearances off the back of recovering from a broken leg.

He even caught the eye of professional clubs, having been on trial at Sheffield Wednesday back in 2017.

He dual registered with Berko in 2020/21 and scored 8 goals in 8 games before making the move a more permanent one in the summer of 2021.
