Enfield Town v Horsham: MATCH PREVIEW September 2022

[ad_1]

The Hornets face their third visit to North London in ten days when they make the trip to Enfield Town tomorrow for a rearranged Isthmian Premier Division fixture (ko 7:45pm). A return of just one point from their previous two fixtures in the capital, at Haringey Borough and Wingate & Finchley, has seen Dom Di Paola’s squad drop a couple of places in the table yet they still sit in fifth spot despite Saturday’s 2-0 home reverse at the hands of Bishops Stortford.

Horsham can count themselves unlucky not to have taken at least a share of the spoils at the weekend, having had two efforts cleared off the line and another two come back off the woodwork, but remain the second highest scorers in the division behind leaders Hornchurch.

After a slow start, by their standards at least, Enfield have now begun to find their own form in front of goal with nine scored in their last three games, the latest a five goal haul at Margate on Saturday, suggesting that they remain a potent threat despite the summer departure of top scorer Mo Faal to Havant & Waterlooville.

So if it is goals you’re after then you’d do worse than to head to the QEII Stadium tomorrow evening, for a fixture that has averaged five goals in the four previous league meetings.

A limited number of seats are available on the players’ coach, departing from Park & Ride at 3:45pm, at a cost of £15 return. Bookings can be made by emailing admin@horshamfc.co.uk, calling the office on 01403 458854, or if you prefer to make a late decision then simply turn up to the P&R where seats will be allocated on a first come, first served, basis.
