There were three local cup ties played on Tuesday night involving teams from the Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South.

In the Hampshire Senior Cup, there was an `upset` at Andover New Street as the Wessex League Division One outfit beat Gosport Borough 4-2 on penalties.

The hosts took a 31st-minute lead through Shane Lock and it wasn’t until the 66th minute when Harvey Bradbury converted a penalty to pull Boro back on level terms.

But the Step 6 side completed a fine win with their shoot-out victory.

However, Gosport’s league rivals Winchester City made no mistake, scoring a goal in each half from Dan Neild and Mark Jamison to see off Wessex League Premier side Fareham Town at the Charters Estate Community Stadium.

Another Premier Division South club, Plymouth Parkway, put aside their poor start to the league season by beating a youthful team from League Two Exeter City 7-2 in the Devon St Lukes Challenge Cup.

After recovering from falling behind to an early 2nd minute Joe Wragg goal, Parkway had Ben Seymour completing a first half hat-trick, Jack Crago a second half brace and there were singles for Jared Lewington and Austen Booth.
