SE DONS secure back-to-back wins and UTR continue winning run

A big week for SE Dons with three tricky fixtures in the space of a week. After beating Lambeth Allstars (LAS) on Sunday 2-0 the two sides met again last night in a midweek fixture.

The Dons kept yet another clean sheet winning the game by a goal to nil. That means big George Kamurasi did not conceded a single goal to the league leaders.

New SE Dons signing Jordan Green scored his first for the club in what could prove a huge win in this season’s title challenge. Green was playing at Southend on loan from Barnsley only last year.

SE Dons move into third place with that win with 13 points from six games. If they win their two games in hand on leaders LAS they would move two points clear at the summit.

Under The Radar

Under The Radar FC continued their unbeaten streak to this season with a 2-1 win in the London Challenge Cup. UTR beat Kizilirmak Main and will now face Hammersmith Town Firsts in the next round.

Next up for UTR however is a league game against Jam FC who are both level on points despite Jam playing more games. A win for UTR would see them go top of the league depending on the Baldon Sports result.

Both UTR and SE Dons played in a friendly game filmed by PUMA on the day in which lockdown rules eased in the UK. The game ended 0-0 but it was the occasion that mattered the most. The game was played on the 29th of March which was the day in which grassroots football could return after months if lockdown.
