Paul Pogba makes his return to the Man United squad

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed the return of Paul Pogba to the Manchester United squad. The World Cup winner has been missing for some time but has travelled with the squad to face AC Milan tomorrow.

A Welcome Return:

Paul Pogba has been missing from the United team for over a month now, missing ten games. United to their credit throughout that period have kept up their unbeaten run, but have also lacked the creativity Pogba supplies.

During, the games Pogba has missed, United have scored just one goal or less on seven of these occasions. Likewise, this has come at a time when fellow creator Bruno Fernandes has produced just two assists.

If the French international does make an appearance tomorrow night, it will be his first in the Europa League this season.

Paul Pogba will of course bring a level of experience to the side when facing AC Milan, in his previous nine meetings against the club, Pogba has left on the winning team. He was also the star player when United won the competition back in 2017.

Not Alone?

Pogba is not on his own in making his return to the United squad, David De Gea and fellow midfielder Donny van de Beek have also travelled with the squad.

After throwing away a one-goal lead in the dying embers against Milan, this is a must-win game for the Red Devils. Especially since they narrowly crashed out in the semi-finals of the tournament last season, United will be looking to do better this year and leave with a piece of European silverware.
