Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil superstar Neymar is reportedly edging closer to signing a new contract with PSG. The news first reported by Fabrizo Romano has broken on the eve of PSG’s semi-final home leg in the Champions League. That tie of course coming against Manchester City, one of the clubs regularly linked with a move for the Brazillian.
Rumours of the contract have floated around the footballing world for months now, but now it looks to be just a matter of time.
Neymar, whose move to PSG smashed the world transfer record back in 2017 has enjoyed a fruitful spell in Paris. Picking up a Ligue 1 title in all three seasons he has spent at the club as well as, several other honours.
The one trophy that has escaped Neymar in his time at the club is the Champions League. Currently, the Parisians hold a great chance of changing their fortunes depending on their success in tomorrow night’s tie. After narrowly missing out last year with defeat in the final, and now over five years since Neymar’s one Champions League title (with Barcelona), could now be the time for Neymar to lift the prestigious trophy one more time?
