As football got back underway in the Pitching In Southern Football League on Monday night, someone forgot to inform the strikers!

There were two matches in the Premier Division Central and both finished 0-0!

At the UK FLOORING DIRECT Stadium, Barwell were looking for a second win of the campaign when they entertained a Kings Langley side who had lost just the once to date.

And for a game that ended goalless, it was reasonable entertainment for the 224 crowd and both goalkeepers, Barwell’s Andy Wycherley and Kings` Haf Al-Droubi, were in decent form to maintain clean sheets.

At the War Memorial Athletic Ground, it also finished in stalemate between a Stourbridge side who have yet to find a win in 2022/23 and Nuneaton Borough, who remain on top of the table – for 24 hours at least – with five wins, a draw and just one defeat from their seven games.

It was a much-improved performance from the Glassboys, who almost nicked it right at the death when Reece Styche’s header came back off a post.
