Juan Bernat is reportedly set to sign a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, prolonging his stay at the Parc des Princes.
The 27 year old Spanish professional footballer Juan Bernat Velasco who began his career at Valencia, has revealed that he wants to sign a contract extension with the Les Parsiens with his current deal set to expire next summer.
The former Bayern Munich full-back has not featured much for the French champions this season after undergoing surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament on his left knee.
The 27-year-old has amazingly made a speedy recovery thanks to the help of the club’s medical team who have made sure he bounces back and ready to hit the ground running.
“I hope to be back in February or mid-March,” Bernat said via the Ligue 1 official website. “I believe that everything will work out and I want to stay here for many more years.”
“If I want to sign an extension? Yes, yes. We are talking about the contract, the negotiations are ongoing, but for the moment nothing is done.
I think that will conclude positively. I have always said that I was very happy in Paris, I want to stay here for several years.
But it is also true that I would like to play again, one day, I don’t know when, in La Liga. It is the league of my country and I have not been able to enjoy it that much.”
