Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town confirmed the resignation of manager Keenen Meakin-Richards along with assistant manager Graham Deakin and Head Coach Jemiah Richards ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup defeat.
Meakin-Richards took over as manager two years ago following a brief spell as caretaker manager and lead the Pitmen to their best league finish in five years last season of ninth.
A brief statement from the Board of Directors read: “Firstly, we want to thank Keenen and the management team for all of their hard work during their time with us, it cannot be forgotten that they did a lot for the club both in terms of stabilising the team along with working tirelessly behind the scenes.
“Unfortunately, results haven’t gone our way this season and with a heavy heart we accepted their resignation.”
Former Premier League striker Leroy Lita has been placed in temporary charge alongside defender Martin Riley.
Anyone interested in the manager’s position can send their CV to sales@hednesfordtownfc.com.
