Fikayo Tomori to be signed under Milan

Fikayo Tomori has settled in at Milan and Franco Baresi hopes that the Serie A club will permanently sign the former Chelsea defender.

Franco Baresi, Milan’s vice president has approved that the Rossoneri will attempt to make Fikayo Tomori’s switch from Chelsea permanent.

In January, Fikayo Tomori joined Milan on loan. He has since made a positive impact at San Siro since making his debut as a substitute in a Coppa Italia clash with Inter.

The Canadian-born 23-year-old has since made seven Serie A appearances (six starts), and started all four Europa League games for which he has been available.

He has helped Milan to two clean sheets and five league victories, Tomori has made 30 clearances, three more than any other Milan player.

Fikayo Tomori has been so impressive that Milan will endeavor to sign him according to Baseri.”We’ll do everything to sign him on a permanent deal,” Baresi told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Two months are remaining until the end of the season, and it’s not only up to Milan.

“Fikayo Tomori is imposing himself with talent and determination. He has shown no fear to play in a new league. Potentially, he can become a great champion. I hope he lives up to expectations.”

“We know his qualities. He’s grown up at Milan and we know how important he could be in the coming years,” he added.
