The F.A have announced a change to the England Euro 2020 squad as Dean Henderson has withdrawn himself from the squad due to a hip injury. Aaron Ramsdale has been named as his replacement, after initially missing out on the final squad despite being named in the provisional squad. It will be heartbreaking news for Henderson, who will return home without a single appearance, marking a sad end to his first major international tournament. Ramsdale, his replacement is yet to make a senior appearance for England.
The news of Henderson suffering from a hip injury so severe that he has had to withdraw is not completely surprising, as the Manchester United shot-stopper has missed multiple training sessions for England with this issue.
This marks the third big name from Manchester United who has been taken out of the competition. The other two names were Mason Greenwood and Donny van de Beek, both who withdrew before the tournament got started.
