Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hednesford Town have announced that Neil Tooth joined as assistant manager to new boss Steve Burr.
Tooth began his management career as a coach at Retford United, eventually moving up to become number two to Chris Keogh at Sutton Coldfield Town before taking over the first team managers role in 2012
Within three years he had built a side that won promotion via the play-offs to Step 3, before consolidating the Royals as a Step 3 side, finishing a very respectable 12th in the Northern Premier League having been favourites for relegation before departing the following season.
Tooth then became first team manager at Hednesford in May 2017 for a short spell before returning to Coles Lane to become the manager at Sutton Coldfield for a second time in January 2018, resigning in late 2021.
Tooth brings a wealth of non-League experience to the club and manager Steve Burr was keen to get him on board as the final piece in his new management team having appointed Leroy Lita as player-coach upon his arrival last week.
