And it was two all-internal ties that saw Premier Division South sides manage to avoid home upsets against teams from Division One South.

At Privett Park, Gosport Borough avoided their potential banana skin when they eased past league newcomers Hamworthy United with a 4-0 win.

And Boro could hardly have wished for a better start as Andreas Robinson put them in front inside the opening 3 minutes.

It was 2-0 with 23 minutes gone on the clock through Harvey Rew.

And then right on the stroke of half-time, a great run by Kyal Williams ended with Dan Wooden being presented with a simple tap-in to make it 3-0.

Bradley Tarbuck struck the bar 5 minutes after the break and then on 79 minutes, the hosts finally managed to add a fourth from Harvey Bradbury to see Boro through to the next round.

At the Webbswood Stadium, Swindon Supermarine eventually managed to shake off a spirited Willand Rovers outfit to secure their place in the Second Qualifying Round.

What proved to be the only goal of the game came after 18 minutes when Zack Kotwica’s header came back off the crossbar, but Harry Williams was on hand to net the loose ball.

Willand certainly made it tough for `Marine and had their chances. Bailey Kempster – back on loan from Weston-super-Mare – went close from 20 yards and Adam Kelly had an effort cleared off the line.

But the home side held on to that single goal lead to progress.
